This is our family. We welcome you

Luis (Father), Christine (Mother), Brooke (Daughter) and Mary (Grandmother). We are entering our 11th year hosting homestay students and enjoy sharing our home with ESL students from foreign countries. We live in Vancouver East (a short 20 minutes from downtown) community called "Grandview Woodland". It is a grand neighbourhood! We have a 5 bedroom home, 3 levels, 3 washrooms, private backyard, that is bright, clean, and spaceous! Views of the North Vancouver mountains show you how close skiing can be!

Our homestay includes: delicious well rounded meals 3 times a day! T.V. (satellite), high speed internet access, a family to chat in English with during your time at home and 2 other students who live here as well!

Luis works near the airport at a company that repairs aircraft - like the one that you travelled in to Canada, as well as helicopters. Christine has a home business and is a stay at home mom. Grandmother Mary is retired now and majored in English and mathematics and enjoys helping out the family with homework. Brooke is a warm and fun teenager who has grown-up with ESL students and enjoys spending time with them. She majors in music playing the piano, violin and baritone saxaphone. She is in training now to participate in triathalons. As a family we enjoy cooking, reading, computers, cycling, walking, swimming and exercising at the local gyms.

We have 2 community centres within a 5 minutes walk from our home and a fabulous shopping street called Commercial Drive down our street. There is a library, (with internet access) many international restaurants, swimming pools, skating rink, and walking tracks for the exercise in mind students.

Our area is safe, close to school, and rich in many cultures.
