Hi, We look forward to meeting you!We are a real English speaking Canadian family that is very friendly and helpful to students. Elma is a former school teacher. We offer a warm friendly homestay to non-smoking females. Our home is large, clean, and modern with 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and with a separate fully furnished bedroom for each student. We have a student lounge complete with a colour, close caption TV, VCR, microwave and fridge and also a separate telephone line. We are an 8-minute walk from the Skytrain station and then it is a 15-minute ride to downtown Vancouver. Metrotown, which is the biggest shopping mall in B.C. is a 10 minute walk from our house and we are near the library, movie theatres, banks, restaurants, etc. We provide good home cooking and I also do my own baking and will teach interested students how to bake if they like. We enjoy sightseeing, movies, some sports in the back yard, biking, table tennis, reading, sailing (we have a 10 meter sailboat), etc. Our son is a 17-year-old high school student and we have no pets. We have computer hookup available for high speed internet, it is available privately in each students room ($25/month).
