Welcome!Welcome! I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. Your host parents are Jon and Geraldine. We have two children, our son Daniel is 13 years old (2006)and our daughter Brittany is 9 years old (2006). We enjoy laughing and having fun. We love having students share our home with us, and you will be treated as part of the family. You will have your own bedroom with a television and high speed internet access. You would share a bathroom with our mother. Our son Daniel enjoys sports and is always willing to play or teach games. Our daughter is Brittany she is very sweet and is very creative. Both children enjoy sharing their home with students and making new friends. We often stay in contact with our previous students by email. Both your host parents work during the week and the children attend school. Grandma cares for the children after school and cooks us delicious dinners. We have fun conversations at dinner and enjoy hearing about one another's day. There is usually much laughter, and plenty of food. We enjoy the outdoors and like to go to the beach or park. We also have family dinners to celebrate birthdays, etc., and you will always be welcome to join us. We live in southeast Vancouver near both skytrain stations.We are very close to downtown as well as Metrotown. We live one block from the bus stop. The #16 Renfrew bus will take you to beautiful downtown Vancouver in 15 minutes. The skytrain will take you to many of the surrounding areas, such as Burnaby, New Westminster, and Surrey including downtown. We have an 14 year old black Labrador dog, Sammy is very friendly and you will just fall in love with her. Sammy loves and lives outside so you will need to go an visit her. We have been a host family for 11 years and have made many friends that we stay in touch with. We look forward to having the pleasure of sharing our home with you.
